  1. Nelsons Column is a monument in Trafalgar Square  built to commemorate Admiral Horatio Nelson, who died at the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805.

  2. Banqueting House  Monday - Saturday 10:00 - 17:00  The entrance is free for London Pass owners.  It takes around 30 - 45 minutes to listen to the story and enjoy the view of the magnificent paintings.

  3. 10 Downing Street, is the headquarters of Her Majesty's Government and the official residence and office of the First Lord of the Treasury, an office now invariably held by the Prime Minister.  It is one of the most famous addresses in the the world. Almost three hundred years old, the building contains about one hundred rooms.  Number 10 was originally three houses. In 1732, King George II offered them to Sir Robert Walpole who accepted on the condition that they be a gift to the office of First Lord of the Treasury rather than to him personally.

  4. Horse Guards Parade  The Guard Changing Ceremony takes place each weekday at 11:00am and at 10:00am on Sundays and is performed by The Queen's Life Guard.

  5. Churchill Museum and Cabinet War Rooms.  The museum comprises the Cabinet War Rooms, a historic     underground complex that housed a British government command centre throughout the Second World War.

  6. Westminster Abby. Between 1042 and 1052 King Edward the Confessor began rebuilding St Peter's Abbey in order to provide himself with a royal burial church.

  7. St James Park is bounded by Buckingham Palace to the west, The Mall and St. James's Palace to the North, Horse Guards to the east, and Birdcage Walk to the south.

  8. St Martin-in-the-Fields is a church, café, concert venue and shop on the north-west corner of London’s Trafalgar Square. Return from Charring Cross Station.

It is proposed to get the tube to Charring Cross Station and walk up Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column. It is proposed that 10:00am finds us at the Banqueting House for a a quick half hour inspection so we can make the morning the ceremony of the Changing of the Guard at Horse Guards Parade which starts at 11:00am.
